OUR MISSION

The purpose of Evergreen Homeschool Ministry at St. Luke UMC is to enrich young homeschool students with an opportunity for hands-on learning in a group setting with friends. We support the parents' goal to provide an optimal education experience for their children. Evergreen at St. Luke UMC provides homeschool students a fun and safe environment to excel spiritually, academically and socially.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Evergreen, our students engage in Bible lessons, centers, recess and holiday parties together, as well as, conduct oral reports and science experiments. While in class, students also have scheduled time to work on their own curriculum assignments from home. We arrange activities to include public speaking and interaction with friends as often as possible. Furthermore, our students are able to develop their skills to learn from another teacher amongst peers.

CLASS OPTIONS

Our program is open to all kindergarten (must be at least age 5 by September 1st) through eighth grade (must be under age 14 by September 1st) homeschool students, regardless of race, gender, national origin or creed; however, Evergreen at St. Luke UMC is a Christian program and all students will participate in Bible lessons, prayer and other teachings of Christ. We are split into three classes: lower, middle and upper. All classes will participate in different unit studies throughout the year. In addition to the normal unit studies, the Upper Class will be reading and studying different pieces of literature as a class. They will also be participating in community service activities throughout the year.
