Philip Brooks
Youth Minister
Philip is a loving person who values authentic relationships and teamwork. As a teenager, he was a student leader in his youth ministry and loved to help other people dive deep into a relationship with Christ.
In 2004, Philip attended the University of Central Florida to study Business Management. During college, he became an adult leader for many years in the youth ministry at the church that he was attending. He continued his education by attending Southeastern University for his Master’s in Business Management. He felt God’s call into full time youth ministry in 2010, and accepted a position at First UMC Plant City in 2011 where he served for almost 5 years.
In 2017, Philip accepted the Youth Ministers position at St. Luke. Philip and his wife Alisa were married in 2007 after he graduated college. While they do not have any biological children, Philip considers the students in the youth ministry his kids. While he enjoys down time relaxing in his hammock with his dog Gibson, he loves spending time with middle and high school students building relationships.
Why should your student get involved with St. Luke Youth? Philip believes that students need Christian adults to speak into their life. The youth ministry has multiple adults that care about each student and wants to build a relationship with them!
