Palm Sunday April 2
On Palm Sunday, we will have a wonderful celebration of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. We will have our 8 AM and 11 AM Traditional Worship Services along with our 9:30 AM Contemporary Service.
During the 9:30 and 11 AM services, the children are invited to participate in the Palm Branch Processional. Starting at 11 AM, there will be a fried chicken lunch. Please RSVP by March 29th to Michele Millet.
We will also be celebrating with our Preschool as the children are invited to sing during the 11 AM worship service. Following the worship services, there will be inflatable bounce houses, face painting, petting zoo and crafts for the children to have fun with.
Starting at 1 PM, there will be egg hunts for the children to participate in (divided up by ages). Please join us for all the fun!
Maundy Thursday, April 6, 6 PM
Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter. Christians remember it as the day of the Last Supper, when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and established the ceremony known as the Holy Communion. The night of Maundy Thursday is the night on which Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the Garden of Gethsemane.
We will join together in worship and share a simple meal around the tables in the Connect Center. “The Love Feast, or Agape Meal, is a Christian fellowship meal recalling the meals Jesus shared with His disciples during His ministry and expressing the “koinonia” (community, sharing, fellowship) enjoyed by the family of Christ".” - The United Methodist Book of Worship
Please RSVP to Michele Millet by Monday, April 3 if you plan to attend. Nursery care (up to age 3) will be provided. Ages 3 and up are invited to participate.
Good Friday, April 7, 6 Pm
Why is Good Friday called Good Friday? Probably because good used to mean holy. ... “That terrible Friday has been called Good Friday because it led to the Resurrection of Jesus …” the Huffington Post states.
Join Us in person or online as we come together to remember Jesus’ suffering at the God Friday Tenebrae Worship Service in the sanctuary at 6 PM. This service is a very moving reminder of Christ’s Crucifixion.
Nursery care (up to 3) will be provided.
