Hurricane Michael Relief

Prayer   "Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Pray. Pray. Pray. We can ALL pray!  Our prayers continue to be with everyone whose lives have been impacted by Hurricane Michael. Father, we pray, please provide renewed daily strength as they recover and rebuild from this disaster. Amen.

Christmas Toy Drive

In partnership with a church in Panama City, we are collecting toys for the children that have been affected by the hurricane. Many people are still displaced and do not have the money to provide toys for their children. You can donate un-wrapped toys in either the Narthex or the Gathering Area, to Vickie Barnett, or in the church office.

Monetary Donations for Hurricane Michael Relief
You may continue give through St. Luke UMC.  All monies collected will be sent to our annual conference. "100% of the money will be used in conference for supplies and rebuilding efforts."  Please earmark your check (payable to St. Luke UMC) or notate your offering envelope as:  Hurricane Michael Recovery.

Hurricane Michael Supply List

Update below is a post from the Alabama West Florida Conference Hurricane Michael Disaster Response, October 23, 2018:

"In relation to supplies, we respectfully request that no more water, food or clothing be sent to our collection sites at this time. The needs are frequently changing and we strive to adapt to the situation."

Click here for an updated supply list.

You can continue to bring your items with you to church on Sunday mornings or drop them off during the week in the church office (Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM).  Collected items will be delivered weekly to a staging command center or collection point.

Completed Flood Kits Needed
Port St. Joe and FUMC Panama City are in need of the traditional UMCOR cleaning kits (flood buckets) that we frequently encourage churches to assemble. They have received several shipments but need more due to the severe storm surge Hurricane Michael produced. We encourage our local churches, Sunday School classes, youth groups and others to assemble these as soon as they are able and deliver to a district collection site. From there they will be delivered to these local churches.  Thank you for the numerous ways you are helping!   -(Hurricane Michael Disaster Response, October 25, 2018, ALWF Office of Communications)
