Costa Rica
In June 2002, an eager construction/evangelism crew traveled to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. The team worked on the construction of a building that will serve as a Methodist District Office and home for the District Superintendent. After work each afternoon, the team travelled to an area church to conduct a Bible School for groups of 40 to 60 local children. This group formed bonds not only with the locals they worked with and the children they served, but also with each other through group activities like white water rafting and hiking in the Rain Forest. Team members agreed that they had shared one of the greatest experiences of their lives and vowed to return to share the Lord and experience another taste of Pura Vida, the Pure Life.
